Requirements for International Student Exchange Program participation
The general requirements for admissions in the Academic Year programs are:
Spending an Academic
Year as an exchange student means living with a host family and attending high
school for 10-11 months. This is a great opportunity to become fluent
in another language because of the length of time you will spend with native
speakers. In order to be an exchange student with Two Worlds United, you must be
at least 15 years of age and no more than 18 years of age on the date
of your departure (some study abroad programs allow for exceptions to be made
for 19-year-old students and some destinations allow students to participate
at the age of 14). You must have
at least a 2.75 GPA for academic year and semester programs and a 2.50 GPA for
summer programs. Students must also meet
any additional requirements specific to the country they choose, for example
a student may be required to have studied the language of the destination country.
(Some private schools may have additional requirements.)
